We are so incredibly proud of the first graders and all of their hard work this week. Today was the First Grade’s Student Led Leader in Me Assembly. What a group of leaders!! The whole school was impressed with all of their hard work and leadership. Amazing job, Safari Smarties!

Troy Union students were visited today by author Kelly DiPucchio to help kick off March is Reading month!
On Friday, Troy Union celebrated Black History Month with a visit from The Omowale Cultural Society. Students were introduced to various West African traditions, dances, clothing and language. Troy Union first graders were visited today by Firefighter Rob. Students learned about fire safety. Students talked about setting up a safe family meeting place in the front of the house, checking smoke alarms and the importance of getting OUT if there is a fire. Make sure to discuss your family meeting place with your child and to check those smoke alarms!
