On Tuesday, third grade presented in our Eagle's Nest assembly about Putting First Things First. Students spent time in their nests identifying their Big Rocks and learning how to schedule thier priorities. Watch the video below to see what happens when you don't put first things first!

First graders were introduced to Habit #3 Put First Things First with the Visible Thinking Routine Headlines. Students know that to Put First Things First means to work first and then play. Students learned that in first grade, we must work first and then play, otherwise we will use our play time to finish work that we haven't completed during work time. Today, Troy Union welcomed Jim Basketball Jones for a school-wide assembly. Jim talked about the importance of patient listening, putting first things first and beginning with the end in mind. He also reminded our Troy Union Eagles about why it is so important to use our manners. Thanks Jim Basketball Jones! |
